Creates a new stellar public/private keypair
To create an account
- Click on "Generate Keys" button. This will generate a new public and private Stellar Key.
- Copy the public and private keys to a safe place
- Add a tag to identify the account with.
- Mark the checkbox that you have copied the keys.
- Click on "Save".
The key pairs created here are not active on the network. You need to fund the accounts with the minimum balance(currently 1 XLM) for it to be active on the network.
Every time you click on the "Generate Keys" button, a new public and private key pair is generated.
If you don't enter a tag, a random one is generated for you.
